Moms MMM.. Donuts
On Friday, May 7th Moms and students enjoyed the Moms MMM.. Donuts
hosted by the Deerfield Elementary Parent Group. There was a great turnout.

Patriot Day
On Tuesday, April 13th middle school and high school students from Deerfield
and Britton took part in "Patriot Day" at both schools to experience the transition.
Middle school students from Britton came to Deerfield for information about the Patriot
Middle School and high school students from Deerfield went to Britton for high school

Dad's-N-Donuts
The Deerfield Elementary Parent Group hosted a Dad's-N-Donuts gathering
on Friday, March 26th. A large number of dads and students enjoyed donuts and juice.

Reading Month
The theme this year was Catch the Reading Bug. During the month students had a weekly
reading goal of 100 minutes at home. Students were rewarded each week with a new prize for
accomplishing this. Students also had a bug identification contest, guest readers, and Family

Dodgeball Tournament
On March 18, 2010 the Deerfield High School Student Council hosted
Border War III. There were four divisions consisting of Grades 4-6, Grades 7-8,

QU Wedding
Kindergarten students in Mrs. Stahl's class participated in the joining of "QU". See photos from

Science Fair
Sponsor NRG Dynamix, Deerfield donates $4,000 in Scholarships to foster interest
in science and engineering. James O’Brien founded NRG Dynamix in Deerfield several years ago
and was looking for a way to give back to the community. “I remember how exciting and rewarding it
was to do my science projects as a youngster. It is that feeling – and hopefully a life-long love
for science – that I want to bring out in the students here.” Click on the Science Fair link above

Winter Spirit Week
Students celebrated spirit week with various activities throughout the week. Check put

Fundraiser For Haiti
The National Honor Society presented a check for $559.25 to Karen Daugherty, vice-chair of the
Lenawee County Chapter of the American Red Cross. The money will go to Haiti relief efforts. Deerfield
students paid $1 for the priviledge of wearing a hat or pajamas to schhool over a three-day period.
Holiday Concert
The annual Holiday Concert was held on Friday, December 18th. The concert involved
all Music students except for the High School Band, which performed in Britton. (see clips from

Grandparents Day
Elementary students celebrated with their grandparents on Friday, November 13th.
Students entertained the grandparents with songs and musical instruments in the gymnasium.

Breakfast Buddies
Elementary students that went through the marking period without any discipline
checks were treated to a special breakfast with Mr. Bowman and Mr. Fauble.

The Middle School hosted a Family Fun Night on November 6th. Students and

Deerfield celebrated Homecoming on Friday, October 23rd at the BD Football game.
Students participated in a variety of activities during the week prior to the Homecoming game.
